Office Hours and Billing
Dr. Kaymen is our only practitioner and is in the office Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.The office is open on Wednesdays and Fridays for product purchases and the occasional visit with our medical assistant that does not require Dr. Kaymen be present.
We are preferred providers for several PPO insurance carriers. These are United, Blue Shield, Cigna, Blue Cross, Beach Street, Aetna and PHCS. We are also Medicare providers. Please note we are not providers for HealthNet. All HealthNet patients are expected to pay at the time of service. We will courtesy bill HealthNet for you. Please call the office before your visit to clarify.
It is very important that you bring your insurance card with you on your first appointment and if you have any changes to your policy or coverage. If we cannot verify coverage you will either not be seen or if you do wish to be seen you will be held responsible for the cost of the visit at that time.
Payment for all cosmetic services including cosmetic consultations is at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards.
Our goal at Presidio Dermatology is to be as flexible as we can be in serving our clients. However, we do have a fair number of patients who do not show up for their appointments and do not call. This inconveniences everyone else who is trying to get in to see us! For this reason we have a fairly strict cancellation policy that we want to make sure you are aware of. We also have a policy for patients who are late for their appointments.
You will get a courtesy voicemail reminder of your appointment approximately two days prior to your appointment. Please make sure we have a good telephone number to leave a message on. Check with us to update your records.
You MUST give us 24 hours notice if you will not be able to make your appointment. Monday patients need to call first thing the Friday before their appointment.
If you do not call and do not come, the fees are as follows: New patients: $75 will be posted to your account; Cosmetic patients: $75 will be posted to your account; Returning patients: $50 will be posted to your account
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we will do our best to fit you in the schedule. If we cannot, then you will be charged the missed appointment fee.
